Past Chair

Tanner Hunt represents more than a dozen area public school districts, in addition to various private sector clients in federal and state courts. Tanner has defended clients in employment, CERCLA, and business disputes, as well as in specialized class action claims involving toxic torts, tobacco products, computers, and related matters.

He has previously served as chair of the School Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and the Council of School Board Attorneys.

Tanner attended the University of Virginia Law School, and earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas School of Law in 1962. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and all Federal Courts in Texas.
