Christie Hobbs serves as General Counsel for Northwest Independent School District, where she advises the school district on legal matters on a daily basis. She serves on the executive committee of the School Law Section of the State Bar of Texas and was a summer retreat planner for the section. She teaches School Law & Ethics to Master’s students at TCU.
Christie represented school districts across Texas before joining Northwest ISD. She has experience with student discipline hearings, employee grievance hearings, due process hearings, school board appeal hearings, OCR investigations, and litigation. Christie has negotiated hundreds of school contracts for purchasing, leases, and construction projects.
Ms. Hobbs is an experienced litigator in state and federal court. Before law school, Christie taught ninth-grade Spanish at Crowley ISD, where she also coached cheerleading and sponsored Student Council. She is fluent in Spanish.
