As a Director and Shareholder with Abernathy, Roeder, Boyd & Joplin, P.C., Mari’s practice focuses on the representation of public and private schools, charter schools, community colleges, other governmental entities, and businesses regarding issues including labor and employment matters; student disciplinary and constitutional issues; internal and external investigations involving employees and students, including high-profile investigations; trustee and bond elections and questions; special education; employee disability claims; and obligations under the Texas Public Information Act, the Texas Open Meetings Act, and the Texas Election Code.

Mari also provides proactive seminars for the Firm’s clients, and frequently speaks, on the areas of her practice outlined above. Corrective training for private employees and executives is also offered by Mari.

Mari regularly assists clients with matters in both state and federal court, before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the United States Department of Education, the United States Department of Justice, the Texas Workforce Commission, and the Texas Education Agency.
