Leslie Story

Vice-Chair , TASB

Leslie has been with the TASB Legal Services Division since 2005, becoming the division director in 2022. Leslie is a frequent presenter at regional and state-wide training events on a variety of school law topics.

Leslie graduated magna cum laude from Baylor University with a B.A. in the University Scholars program and received her law degree from The University of Texas School of Law. During law school, Leslie interned for the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals and worked in the Children’s Rights Clinic. Leslie serves as a mentor for current law students at The University of Texas School of Law through the mentorship program for first year law students.

Prior to coming to TASB, Leslie worked in private practice, representing a variety of clients including governmental entities.

Leslie is a member of both the School Law Section and the Employment Section of the State Bar of Texas. She is also a member of the Texas Council of School Attorneys and the National Council of School Attorneys. Leslie is involved in her local school community as a PTA member and volunteer at her children’s schools. Leslie is an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Austin, currently serving on the Finance Committee, the Children and Family Ministries Team, and is a member of the Circle Up United Methodist Women’s circle. In addition. Leslie is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Austin.
